FAQ
We've pulled together some of the most frequently asked questions by our customers considering a remodeling job, for your information. If you have additional questions, give us a call or visit our showroom and we will be happy to help!
How long has your company been in business?
At CabinetPRO, we are proud of the fact that we have been in business for over 25 years and we have hundreds of satisfied customers.
I want to remodel my kitchen, but do I need to hire a separate kitchen designer?
Unless you're designing and building a brand new house you probably don't need to spend the additional money that a separate kitchen designer will cost. (Fees usually run between $100 and $300 per hour) We have worked with thousands of homeowners through the years and since we've remodeled so many kitchens, we've usually encountered, and creatively resolved a customer's issue previously. Whether it is enhancing efficiency, accommodating multiple cooks, or expanding storage space, we can give your kitchen a fresh new look.
Who does the installation work for your company?
To insure all installations are completed to our exacting standards, all of our caring and skilled installers are either employees of the company or professional sub-contractors that we have worked with for years.
I have a limited budget, any suggestions to save money?
If you like your current kitchen layout, and depending on the condition of your current cabinets, it may be possible to reface your existing cabinets and save approximately 40% to 60% over the cost of new cabinets. Our CabinetPRO designers will also work with you to suggest alternatives to fit within your budget.
Should I expect any return on my kitchen remodel investment?
Yes! Realtor Magazine recently published an article itemizing the average cost for home remodeling jobs and the recouped value for those home improvement projects. The costs reflect retail priced materials and licensed contractors doing the labor. For the Chicago area, kitchen remodel jobs with an average cost of $20,000 recouped 93% of the cost in resale value. Bathroom remodel jobs costing $15,000 recouped 88%, and major kitchen remodel jobs averaging $56,000 recouped 70% of the costs in resale value.
Once my kitchen remodel starts, how long will it take to be completed?
A lot depends on the size of your kitchen, the type of materials selected, and whether we are installing new cabinets or refacing existing cabinets. As an example with new cabinets, since we blueprint and custom build your cabinets ahead of time, the average kitchen is usually completed in about a week.
